Longtime Lake Hiawatha Resident Passes at 92

Mario Minutillo died peacefully Saturday evening at Compassionate Care Hospice in Dover. He was 92 years old.
A Hoboken native, Minutillo had been a resident of the Lake Hiawatha section of Parsippany since 1963.
As a member of the U.S. Army in World War II, he was stationed in the Pacific Theatre. He was a firefighter with the City of Hoboken for 30 years, retiring as a captain in 1980.
Minutillo was a member of St. Ann's Social Seniors and the Lake Hiawatha Seniors Club.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Anna Quagliano Minutillo; two sons, Patrick Minutillo of Lake Hiawatha and Anthony Minutillo and his wife Darlene of Rockaway; a sister Angelina; and two grandchildren, Anthony Joseph and Samantha Ann.
Viewings are Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 10-10:45 a.m. at Stephen J. Priola Parsippany Funeral Service.
A Mass of Christian Burial follows at St. Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday at 11 a.m.
Internment takes place at Gates of Heaven Chapel Mausoleum in East Hanover.
