2-Vehicle Crash Briefly Shuts Down Lanes on I-287

Two lanes re-opened after accident scene cleared.

A two-vehicle crash on northbound Interstate 287 near Exit 41 and not far from the Interstate 80 juncture shut down two lanes Wednesday afternoon at about 1:30 p.m.

Two right lanes were closed but were re-opened to traffic, according to the NJSP Netcong barracks.

An ambulance was at the scene, and while Netcong barracks said unspecified injuries were reported, Totowa barracks would not confirm that anyone was hurt in the accident.

An investigation is underway, police said.

Patch will have more details as they become available.
