A Randolph man accused of entering a Route 10 bank with a handgun and mask on and demanding money from a teller in May could face 20 years in prison if convicted Friday of bank robbery charges.

Rhaman Fulton, 34, is scheduled to appear in federal court Friday afternoon, according to U.S. Attorney Paul Fishman. 

According to court documents, Fulton allegedly robbed the PNC Bank, at 140 Route 10 in Randolph, just after 4 p.m. on May 25  with a black, cloth mask covering his face. Court documents state the teller gave Fulton $1,777 cash with a GPS unit that tracks the money's location.

The GPS unit led authorities to Fulton's house, according to the documents, where the unit was later broken into two pieces and found in the backyard of a neighboring property. Surveillance video on a neighbor's property allegedly showed two small objects, that were later determined to be pieces of the GPS unit, thrown by Fulton into the other yard.

Court documents also state that Fulton was interviewed by police on the day of the incident and said he was at work at the time. But police later found Fulton had allegedly called out of work that day. Police also said Fulton matched the alleged robber's description provided by PNC Bank employees.

If Fulton is convicted of the crime, he may face a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

FBI agents and officers from the Randolph Police Department assisted with the arrest.
