Applebee’s Honors Par-Troy East All-Stars
Parsippany's Little League World Series team gets a free meal at the chain restaurant.
Another tribute for the Par-Troy Little League East All-Stars.
The team, which enjoyed a successful post-season, including a trip to Williamsport, Pa., where it represented the east coast in the Little League World Series, were invited to a special gathering at Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill and Bar at 1057 Route 46 East Monday.
Sitting around a long corner table were its invited guests, the All-Stars, who advanced to the World Series' third round, enjoyed a free meal courtesy of Applebee's, along with their coaches.
“Applebee’s is an integral part of the Parsippany neighborhood and so is this amazing Par-Troy East Little League All-Star Team,” said General Manager John Antosiewicz.
Competing in the Little League World Series was a huge achievement for the Parsippany boys. They had to win Little League championships at the District and Sectional levels and then finally, the New Jersey State Championship, before earning a chance to compete in the World Series. They advanced to the third round of the Series before being eliminated in extra innings by the Petaluma, Calif., team, 5-4, before a crowd of 8,600 on Aug. 20.
“These boys are stars and it’s an honor for us to be able to thank them for putting Parsippany on the Little League map,” Antosiewicz said.
