Fantastic job of the parsippany police who tracked down a career criminal over several states.. To some if you idiots, a crime does not get solved in an hour episode of csi.

Seems like these two left this lady for dead. Left in a parking lot during the end of the holidays when the company wouldn't open back for business until after New Years. So maybe they were building a case against these two.

Why do the police get bashed here? They did not rob and kidnap the woman. Perhaps we did not hear about it because they didn't wAnt to tip off the thieves. Once our media gets hold of a story there are no rules And sometimes less common sense.

To the person making the comment about crime not getting resolved like CSI, you are absolutely correct. However, when there are ATM surveillance photos and retail video of where the lowlifes used the credit cards, it makes this one a no-brainer. A child could have solved this crime.

Just because they used CC and atm doesnt mean it solved in an hour..gotta build a case..track them..probably not these two criminals first rodeo...again another great job by all law enforcement officers

Really? I didn't realize it was so easy to look at a tape of a man and woman and know instantly who and where they are in the country . Maybe we can just ask the guy who was in jail for 20 years to please confess and he would sweetly oblige too??

There is a prior conviction, correct? So the photo gets run against a digital database, now you have a name. This isn't rocket science. Now if they solve the burglaries in town, then I'll join in on the praise. This one was handed to them.

you just could not be more wrong. a fuzzy video does not identify anyone. Running photos against a digital database? are you serious? facial recognition technology? perhaps they could've checked the driver's seat for remnants of criminal flatulence and put the cloth fibers through a magical gas detector, then cross referenced the DNA through the FBI...seriously, you have no idea what you're talking about. This was an intense investigation and it bore fruit. Go hate cops somewhere else.

Slim, I think they tried all that and still couldn't find them in a timely fashion. And I don't hate cops, love their services when the traffic lights are out...

Fullwater, you're absolutley correct. However, to be fair, it's not the PPD patting themselves. It's the bizarre, hero-worshipping, attention-starved groupies that come out of the woodwork each time they do a routine job. When sanitation takes my garbage should I post what a great event has just been witnessed?? This was all part of the job they signed up for.

Sanitation dept. isn't that great...On recycle day my cans and bottles are in the can..they come and dump them into the truck...some miss the truck..common knowledge is to bend over and pick them up...NOOO not them...they leave them on the ground.

I like how people think that it is so easy, "a no brainer", to capture a criminal in this day and age because of technology. If that was the case, there should be barely any crimes with fear that the criminal will be caught within 29 to 31 mins (average time of an episode of CSI minus commercials). It is also nice to see how people condemn the police department when they don't catch someone (burglaries) and when they actually do catch someone they are also condemned because it took longer then 1 episode (another CSI reference because that person who stated that was dead on). It's as if they are damned either way.
As for the people on here saying Parsippany is like Camden and such, move, no one is keeping you in Parsippany. It's the same nonsense that is in a majority of patch articles... "Parsippany is horrible...", "...the board of ed is horrible", "cops in Parsippany suck...", "taxes are way too high..." --- Just move, you don't have to live here if it is such a horrible town to live in. I am sure the other "promiselandtown.patch" people will love to hear your positive thoughts and comments!

I'd like to know where this occurred. I have a mom the victims age. I thought this town is a great place to live (rank 16). Good job to PPD. But if we're getting whole foods here, our streets, parking lots need to be safer. More traffic, more people= more chaos. I hope the victim is better now. Hopefully family gets her a GPS.
