Beat the Heat at a Parsippany Cooling Center
If you don't have access to air conditioning, the township has four places for you to go and find cool air.
Many of Parsippany's seniors find relief from the heat at the Community Center on Knoll Road.

With temperatures firmly set in the 90s and humidity on high, people without access to cool air could find themselves in unhealthy situations.
The township offers four places for people to escape summer's blast:
- Parsippany Community Center, 1130 Knoll Rd., Lake Hiawatha (9 a.m. - 5 p.m.)
- Parsippany Main Library, 449 Halsey Rd,. Parsippany (9 a.m. - 9 p.m.)
- Lake Hiawatha Library, 68 Nokomis Ave., Lake Hiawatha ( 10 a.m. - 9 p.m.)
- Mt. Tabor Library, 31 Trinity Park, Mt. Tabor (10 a.m. - 9 p.m.)
If you know an elderly person, you are encouraged to check in on them to make sure they are cool and have plenty of water.
The National Weather Service forecasts that temperatures tomorrow will go down, but only slightly. The high projected for Wednesday is in the high 80s.
