BOE Fields Meeting, Summer Concert Series This Week

Events taking place in the township this week

 

Parsippany-Troy Hills Board of Education invites residents and local organizations to a special meeting to discuss proposed plans for athletic improvements at Parsippany and Parsippany Hills high schools and the planned January referendum. The meeting will be held at the BOE building, 292 Parsippany Road, Wednesday at 7:45 p.m.

Parsippany Lacrosse Club Clinic Registration is open to the public all day Monday through Saturday at Jannarone Park at Cranberry Road & Walsh Drive; the cost is $50.

PAL Football and Cheer Registration takes place all day Monday through Saturday at the Parsippany Police Athletic League at 33 Baldwin Road; there is no cost to register.

Neighbors-Helping-Neighbors, a free peer-led volunteer support group for people actively looking for work meets Tuesday at the Parsippany-Troy Hills Library, Lake Hiawatha Branch at 68 Nokomis Ave. in Hiawatha.

PSGMC peer support group for job seekers meets Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. at the Parsippany-Troy Hills Free Public Library at 449 Halsey Road to hear guest speakers well-versed in all facets of career search and development.

Zoning Board of Adjustment meets to rule on resident and business requests Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. The meeting takes place at Town Hall, 1001 Parsippany Blvd.

The 2012 Parsippany Summer Concert Series features the stylings of the Hitmen Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at Veterans' Memorial Park, 1771 Route 46. Food will be available for sale, but the event is free.

Parsippany Farmers Market takes place this Friday (and every Friday during summer) in the parking lot at Town Hall from 1-7 p.m. Shoppers will find fresh produce and country food products from Stony Hill Farm as well as alpaca wear from Hickory Ridge Alpaca Farm.
