It's a red letter day for the Girl Scouts of America. On March 12, 1912, exactly 100 years ago, came the creation of the first Girl Scout group on March 12, 1912.
Juliette Gordon Low started the first Girl Scout group in Savannah, Ga., with 18 girls. A century later, the Girl Scouts of America is a national organization chartered by the U.S. Congress. It boasts millions of members across the country and numerous troops right here in Parsippany.
