Congressman's Staff to Hold Open Office Hours Wednesday
Constituents' questions answered at Wayne Municipal Building.
Congressman Rodney Frelinghuysen will hold office hours at the Wayne municipal building Wednesday.
A member of Frelinghuysen’s staff will be at the building from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. to meet with residents.
Wayne and 13 other municipalities were added to New Jersey’s 11th Congressional District in January. Frelinghuysen has represented the district for 18 years. The move was made due to the results of the 2010 Census.

Congressman Frelinghuysen, please help keep NJ Safe. Please represent New Jersey’s citizens by calling for NJ’s own gun regulations to become the law nation-wide, so that we don’t keep paying the ultimate price for criminals’ guns – 80% of which come in from other states. Please protect NJ by being our leader in Congress on this crucial public safety issue.

Congressman Frelinghuysen, please be aware of the thousands of families within your district who have been affected by Congress's gross inability to pass a budget which has caused sequestration. Thousands of federal employees and their families, many of whom have voted for you, are now suffering and being used as scapegoats subject to approximately 20% pay cuts while you and your co-workers are left unscathed. Your "Yay" vote to pass the sequestration bill is a true disservice to your community and is borderline treasonous. Please act now to end the sequester.

Frelinghuysen is a member of the House which did pass a budget. Senators Menendez and Laughenberg did not pass the budget.

John Paul Foley from Roseland asked last year:

Congressman Frelinghuysen, I strongly believe that my children have a right to be safe in their schools. That we all have a right to be safe in public places. A Newtown could happen in New Jersey. Please do all that you can to prevent gun violence from claiming more lives.

Financial Services Modernization Act of 1999
Also known as GRAMM-LEACH-BLILEY ACT, this legislation ended the Glass-Stegall rule that separated banking institutions from investment institutions. Rodney Frelinghuysen voted in favor of the Financial Services Modernization Act of 1999.
The story of the repeal of Glass-Steagall and the growth of the subprime mortgage market that is now crumbling around us like a financial house of cards can be best be told by a graph:
Former Secretary of Labor Robert Reich critiques the Clinton administration’s repeal of the Glass-Steagall Act, a key deregulatory move that ended the separation of commercial and investment banking and is widely seen as having helped lead to the financial collapse.
Can you explain your vote??

Rodney is the quintessential “Poster Child” for term limits. This guy has never had a real job in his life. Nobody (Dem or Repug) should be a professional politician. The principal we cherish most, the election of our representatives, is easily corrupted by the need to raise the huge sums of money required to mount a viable campaign. Reality check….no business or individual “contributes” money without expecting some return on investment!
