Cops: Woman Wanted on $1,300 in Warrants

The following information was provided by the Washington Township Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A woman from Elizabeth was arrested in Long Valley for three outstanding warrants after being stopped for alleged speeding, Washington Township Police Lt. Doug Compton said.

Marguerit Mbida, 24, was stopped on East Mill Road just after midnight Wednesday morning by officer Michael Thompson, Compton said.

After an identification check, Thompson learned Mbida had outstanding warrants from Hackettstown, Parsippany, and Hopatcong municipal courts in the amount of $1,300, Compton said.

Mbida was unable to post bail and taken into custody, and was later turned over to Hackettstown Police, Compton said. She was also issued a summons for the alleged speeding.
