Deli Owner Sought for Embezzlement, Police Say
Former owner of Anthony's Meats and Deli has an active warrant out for his arrest.
The former owner of a township deli is wanted for alleged embezzlement, Parsippany Police said.
An arrest warrant for second-degree theft has been issued for Anthony Scotti, former owner of Anthony's Meats and Deli in the Green Hill Plaza shopping center on Parsippany Road, according to Patrolman Earl Kinsey, a spokesman for the police department.
The shop itself is dark. A sign in the front window says it is closed for renovations and new management is taking over. Anthony's first opened in 1999.
Kinsey said an investigation into the alleged embezzlement is underway. As a result, little information on the case can be revealed at this time.
"Any information on his whereabouts would be greatly appreciated," Kinsey said. "There is an active warrant for his arrest and we are looking to have him in custody."
Anyone with information on the incident or on Scotti is asked to contact the police at 973-263-4300 or via Crime_Tips@parpolice.com.
