Foiled Burglary Leads to Dover Man's Arrest
Police were tipped off when an Intervale Gardens reported a man's behavior to law enforcement.
An 18-year-old Dover man didn't get away with any loot, but was arrested on a burglary charge early Thursday near the Intervale Gardens apartment complex, according to Parsippany Police.
Heri Abas was arrested and charged with burglary and underage consumption of alcohol.
Police said no items were reported stolen in relation to the incident.
After receiving a call about someone possibly burglarizing vehicles in the complex parking lot just before 12:30 a.m., officers arrived at the scene. Department spokesperson Ptlm. Earl Kinsey said the resident who made the call described seeing a male suspect trying door handles of several vehicles, and said the suspect entered at least one of the vehicles and left the area in a silver car.
Officer Michael Sprung located the vehicle matching the description and pulled Abas over on Waterview Boulevard, Kinsey said.
Abas ultimately was released pending a court appearance, according to a police statement.

Wow, the press release pressure is on the Police Department from the Mayor's office after four years of dormancy and sleeping at the wheel. The Mayor is really pulling out all stops to woo the general public who has been wondering where the heck he and his back up singers have been as the quality of life in Par-Troy sank to new lows.

That press release pressure must be going on for awhile as I've been reading routine police blotter activity such as this on Patch since its inception. You sound moronic grasping at these straws.

The regular blotters usually read and are handled in the following format: crime committed, report taken, time lapses with no activity, case goes unsolved, unsolved case gets filed away, and case forgotten. Talk to the hundreds of residents whose homes were broken into without a suspect arrested. And talk to the hundreds of residents who are frustrated over the lack of officers on the street enforcing vehicular and other laws evidenced by makeshift speed limit signs and other signs trying to make up for the nonexistence presence on the roads.
You're the "mornonic" one grasping for straws or sucking something really potent through them. But there is hope for you if it is the latter. The Mayor can write a letter on township letterhead asking a drug court judge for leniency on your behalf too. Barberio is experienced in that department.

Funny one Par4thCourse, sounds like you know a thing or two about bullying at the high school level.
However, the only people crying here are the residents paying huge property tax bills and nothing to show for it -- just an inadequate Police Department and an out-of-touch, easily led and distracted mayor. That translates into a horrible rate of return for every taxpayer in the township.
