The Mothers’ Club

 From 10:30 a.m. to noon on Thursday at Postpartum Place in Chatham.
Why Go: 
Mothers and their babies can come to this fun, social time and receive expert advice in a safe and supportive environment.

Friends of the Library Book Sale
When/Where: 
From 9:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m on Thursday and from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Friday at the Bridgewater Township Library.
Why Go: 
To pick up some great titles while benefitting the library.

'The Power of 9' Art Exhibition
Where/When:
 From 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday and Friday at the Arts Council of the Morris Area.
Why Go:
 Because this art exhibit will feature 40 unique works by eight professional artists.
Pricing:
 Free.

Smooth Sounds at the Famished Frog
Where/When:
 At 11 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday at The Famished Frog in Morristown.
Why Go: 
To enjoy great live music.
Price: 
No cover.

Medicinal Plants of the Civil War
Where/When:
 At 11 a.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday at Frelinghuysen Arboretum in Morris Township.
Why Go: 
Because this exhibit, inspired by a collection of rare books at the arboretum, will focus on the roll of medical botany during the Civil War.
Price: 
Free.

Joan Lamensdorf Art Exhibit 
Where/When:
 From 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday at Harding Gallery.
Why Go: 
Because you can spend a Friday night with some wine and some beautifully serene landscapes made with pastels.

 Free.

Kip & Mr. Microphone
Where/When:
 From 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Friday KaBob's at the Northwood Inn.
Why Go:
 To bring the whole family by and belt out some tunes with Kip.
Pricing:
 Free.

A Special Night of Ridge Football
When/Where: 
At 7 p.m. on Friday at Lee Field at Ridge High School in Basking Ridge.
Why Go: 
Because it's a special night of honoring children with special needs as the Red Devils Boys Varsity Football team competes against Phillipsburg High School on home turf. 
Pricing: 
Free admission to special needs football fans. Pre-registered children will receive shirts. All ages can attend with their families on the game day without registration.

Shakespeare's 'The War of the Roses: Henry VI, Part 1'
Where/When: At 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday at Brundage Park Playhouse, 2 Bungalow Lane in Randolph.
Why Go: 
Because this adaptation combines Shakespeare’s Henry VI Part I with the first three acts of Part 2—it packs a whole lot of the Bard into one show.
Pricing: 
$10

100 Years of Motorcycles 
Where/When: From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday at the Morris Museum in Morris Township.
Why Go: 
Because this exhibit will feature some of the coolest bikes from the past 100 years.
Pricing:
 $10 for adults, or $7 for children, students and seniors.

'Othello' Playing at The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey
Where/When:
 From 8 to 10:30 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, at The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey in Madison.
Why Go: 
Because a night at the theater sounds like a great way to spend your weekend. Plus, this play hasn’t been seen on The Shakespeare Theatre stage since 2003.

 From 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday at Terry's Pet Depot in Morris Plains.

 Starting at Marty’s Reliable Cycle in Morristown at 9 a.m. on Saturday, and trekking 20 miles through Harding and Chatham, then back to Morristown.

 Because you’d like a workout to start your Saturday morning, or because the weather is warming up. Rain or snow cancels.

Downtown Concert Series
Where/When:
 At 6 p.m. on Saturday at the Museum of Early Trades & Crafts in Madison.
Why Go: 
Because you can bring a blanket or chair for a free family-friendly outdoor music concert on the lawn of the museum.

Greystone Photo Exhibit
Where/When:
 From 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday at The Morristown and Morris Township Library.
Why Go: 
You can stop by the library and check out this new collection of photographs.
Pricing:
 Free.

Knit and Crochet Extravaganza
When/Where: 
From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday at the Bernards Township Library in Basking Ridge.
Why Go: 
To come and relax while learning new techniques such as duplicate stitching, crochet, seaming, fair isle and more. So bring your own needles, hooks, yarn, and passion and enjoy a great afternoon of amazing door prizes and refreshments with the company of other crafters.

Bye, Bye Butterfly Program
When/Where: 
At 2 p.m. on Saturday at Environmental Education Center at Lord Stirling Park in Basking Ridge.

For families and all ages to bid farewell to the butterfly for the season. Learn where they go for the cold weather and all about their lifecycles.

Learn About Solar Power
When/Where: 
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday at Central Moving Systems in Bridgewater.
Why Go: 
To learn to save green by going green. Talk to a Alteris Renewables solar expert and learn more about solar power during this national solar tour.

Build Your Own Fire Rescue Helicopter
When/Where: 
At 9 a.m. on Saturday at The Home Depot in Bridgewater.
Why Go: 
Because kids ages 5 to 12 can build their own fire rescue helicopters and earn a sense of accomplishment.

Free. Registration required.

Art Show
Where/When: From 2:15 to 4 p.m. on Sunday at The Library of the Chathams.
Why Go: 
Take some time out on Sunday to view “Spectral Selves,” an art show featuring paintings, prints, and drawings worked in oil, acrylic and Conté.

1770s Living History Festival
When/Where: 
From 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Sunday at the Environmental Education Center at Lord Stirling Park in Basking Ridge.
Why Go:
 To step back in time to the Colonial period. Costumed period re-enactors will ply their trades, a town crier will deliver the daily news, and military detachments will camp and conduct maneuvers. Enjoy fresh apple cider, kids activities and a hay ride, or have your picture taken in Colonial costume while restrained to the Somerset Gaoler's wooden stock.

$4 donation suggested. 

Hauntings in the Somerset Hills Exhibit
When/Where: 
From 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday at The Historical Society of The Somerset Hills in Basking Ridge.
Why Go: 
To sort out fact and fiction of amazing historical photographs and prints of The Vealtown Tavern and the Blairsden Estate. Pick up a copy of a "Ghosts of Central Jersey" signed by the author or just dare to be intrigued.

Wedding Party Event
