Goddess Saraswati Celebrated With Classical Concert
Sanatan Mandir Hall plays host to performance.
The Taalsadhana School of Indian Classical Music celebrated Saraswati Puja with an evening of classical music Saturday in Sanatan Mandir Hall, 16 Jean Terrace.
Internationaly renowned sitarist Alif Laila offered a two-hour performance accompanied by tabla (Indian drums) player Suryaksha Deshpande, and sitar student Ken Einhorn performed an evening raag (melody).
Saraswati is the goddess of art, music, knowledge and literature.
