What to do, what to do? Summer is in its final weeks and you want to make this weekend of fun count. Never fear, Get Out is here with a host of suggestions for athletic, educational, philanthropic or just plain enjoyable things to do. Our list includes having your coupe cleaned to help Parsippany Christian Church help Haiti, paying tribute to Neil Diamond in Bridgewater, seeing the film The Karate Kid for free in Morris Township and so much more. Car Wash Fund Raiser
Where/When: From 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday at Parsippany Christian Church.
Why Go: Because the Parsippany Christian Chruch is partnering with Lifeline Christian Mission to raise funds to build a house in Haiti.

Yard Sale
Where/When
: From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday at 79 Carlton Drive, Parsippany.
Why Go: Who knows what goodies you’ll find?

Running Company Beginner Group Runs
Where/When: From 6 to 7 p.m. on Thursday at the Morristown Running Company.
Why Go: Because you are a beginner who wants to start running, regardless of age.
Pricing: Free.

The Mothers’ Club
Where/When:
 From 10:30 a.m. to noon on Thursday at Postpartum Place in Chatham.
Why Go: 
Mothers and their babies can come to this fun, social time and receive expert advice in a safe and supportive environment.  
Pricing:
 Free.

Raritan Valley Community College at Bridgewater Open House
When/Where: 
From 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday at Raritan Valley Community College at Bridgewater in Bridgewater.
Why Go: 
Prospective students will learn about the admissions process, financial aid, career opportunities in technology and trades, and transfer opportunities after graduation from RVCC.
Pricing: 
Free.  

Medicinal Plants of the Civil War
Where/When:
 At 11 a.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday at Frelinghuysen Arboretum in Morris Township.
Why Go: 
Because this exhibit, inspired by a collection of rare books at the arboretum, will focus on the roll of medical botanies during the Civil War.
Price: 
Free.

Kip & Mr. Microphone 
Where/When:
 From 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Friday KaBob's at the Northwood Inn.
Why Go:
 To bring the whole family by and belt out some tunes with Kip.
Pricing:
 Free.

Woodstock Celebration at the Morris Museum 
Where/When:
 At 6:30 p.m. on Thursday at the Morris Museum in Morris Township.
Why Go: 
Because radio personality Pete Fornatale heads to the Morris Museum to celebrate the anniversary of the Woodstock Music and Arts Festival.
Pricing:
 $10 for adults; $7 for children, students and senior citizens. 

Friday Afternoon Programs for Adults
Where/When:
 At 1 p.m. on Friday at the Montville Township Public Library.
Why Go: Because adults need some time to relax too, and this is the perfect spot for fantastic concerts and performances, holiday crafts and informational seminars.

 Free.

Marshmullers: Tadpoles
When/Where: 
From 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Friday at the Environmental Education Center at Lord Stirling Park in Basking Ridge. 
Why Go: 
Because children ages 4 to 6 will enjoy an expedition of the world of plants and animals with an exploration of fields, forests, and ponds.

$40 per person. Registration required.

Accidental Death of an Anarchist
Where/When: 
From 8 to 10:30 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey in Madison.
Why Go: 
Because enjoying Dario Fo’s brilliantly funny, scathing political farce is a terrific way to spend your weekend.

Free Summer Movie Night
Where/When:
 At 7:30 p.m. on Saturday at Ginty Park in Morris Township.
Why Go: 
Because the Morris Township Department of Parks and Recreation will wrap up its free Family Outdoor Movie Night series with a showing of “The Karate Kid.”

Morristown Jazz Blues Festival
Where/When:
 From Noon to 10 p.m. on Saturday at The Green, South Street and West Park Place in Morristown.
Why Go: 
Because this free music festival will feature five top jazz and blues groups.

Dahlia Show at the Frelinghuysen Arboretum
Where/When:
 All day on Saturday at Frelinghuysen Arboretum in Morris Township.
Why Go: 
Because you can come by with your own dahlias to be judged, or just mosey by to admire these splendid flowers on display and soak up knowledge from the folks who grow them.

 Free.

Morris Township Fire Dept. 5K Race
Where/When:
 At 6:30 p.m. Saturday at Ginty Park in Morris Township.
Why Go: 
Because this 5k will benefit The Goryeb Children's Hospital at Morristown Medical Center and the Morris Township Fire Department, and also include a one-mile Kids' Fun Run.
Pricing:
 Donations.

Saturday Morning Road Ride
Where/When:
 Starting at Marty’s Reliable Cycle at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 20 and trekking 20 miles through Harding and Chatham, then back to Morristown.
Why Go:
 Because you’d like a workout to start your Saturday morning, or because the weather is warming up. Inclement weather cancels.

Chatham Borough Farmers Market 
Where/When:
 From 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday at Railroad Plaza and Fairmont Avenue in Chatham.
Why Go:
 To get some of the best Jersey Fresh produce, Jersey Shore seafood, pasture-raised meat, poultry and eggs, honey, baked goods, fresh mozzarella, specialty prepared foods of all kinds, and more. The market will also have cooking demonstrations.

Jazz Cruise at Bickford Theater
Where/When:
 From noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday at Bickford Theatre in Morris Township.
Why Go: 
Because this is the 15th annual afternoon on the River Queen with an all-star band including Ed Polcer, Joe Midiri, Paul Midiri, Don Stein, Frank Tate, Kevin Dorn and singer Judy Kurtz

Morristown Farmers Market
Where/When: From 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday around Dunkin' Donuts in Morristown.

Where/When: 1 to 2:30 p.m. at the Fosterfields Living Historical Farm on Sunday.
Why Go: Because you can discover how butterflies can help a garden grow and learn to use nature journaling to really “look” closely at these special insects.

Outdoor Living Space Design Consultation
Where:
 From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday at Back to Nature Home & Garden in Basking Ridge.
Why Go: 
To meet with a design specialist and leave with a great new idea to improve or create your own outdoor oasis. Don't forget to bring your pictures.

Canine Scavenger Hunt

At 5 p.m. on Sunday at Lord Stirling Park Riding Stable in Basking Ridge.

Neil and The Diamonds

At 7 p.m. on Sunday at Duke Island Park in Bridgewater.
