After being on the road for nearly a month, the Par-Troy Little League East All-Stars, fresh from their successful appearance at the Little League World Series in Williamsport, are back in Parsippany. The team arrived at the PTLLE complex on Eileen Court Friday afternoon and were met by enthusiastic, red-shirted residents, Mayor James Barberio, Town Council member Michael dePierro and representatives from media outlets.

Following a performance by girls who offered a special cheer for the Parsippany 11 and photographs, the boys enjoyed a league-only pizza party and the hope of sleeping in their own beds for the first time in weeks.

A formal community-wide celebration takes place Sunday from 2-4:30 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Park.

The event kicks off with a motorcade in the team's honor.

The mayor's office said the motorcade will follow the Memorial Day Parade route: It will start at Katherine Drive and proceed south on N. Beverwyck Road to Crescent Drive to Condit Avenue to N. Beverwyck Road to Vail Road and will arrive at Veterans Memorial Park at Route 46 East and Vail Road.

At the park, an official ceremony will take place with special introductions and presentations by Mayor James R. Barberio, All-Star Manager Mike Ruggiero and PTLLE President John Bucciarelli.

The party will follow the motorcade and end at 4:30 p.m., and the mayor's office said all are welcome.
