Everyone knows their dog is the top dog.

Now, Parsippany Patch is giving you the chance to prove it.

Over the next month, in partnership with Morris Animal Inn, Patch is launching its Top Dog contest.

Enter our contest to give your pooch the chance to compete and then browse the contest to see other pups from your Patch!

The winners from 10 participating area Patches will then go on to the final round, where the winner will be awarded a $250 gift card for a weekend stay at the Morris Animal Inn for your dog!

Here’s how it works:

Beginning Nov. 26, upload your favorite photo of your dog to this article (it’s super easy—just make sure you are a registered user first. In the caption, tell us your dog’s name and what makes him or her so special. One photo per owner please.

The submission deadline is Sunday, Dec. 9 at 11:59 p.m.

Between Monday, Dec. 10 and Sunday, Dec. 16 at 11:59 p.m., our users will vote in the comments on what dog is Parsippany's Top Dog.

From there, Parsippany's Top Dog will vie with the other nine local winners for the grand prize. The grand prize winner will be announced Friday, Dec. 21 at noon.

So make sure you hit that social media campaign trail early!

To vote: Look for the number in the top right corner of the photo and refer to that in the comments.

Morris Animal Inn has been a part of the Morristown community for over 50 years, offering lodging, daycare and more for your dogs and cats.

Rules

Open to legal residents of the 50 United States, the District of Columbia who are 18 and older.

To enter, upload your favorite photo of your dog to the contest article beginning Nov. 26.

All entries must be received by Sunday, Dec. 9 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time.

You may enter one photo per owner.

One winner will be selected by comment votes tallied by Local Editor.

A gift card for a weekend stay at the Morris Animal Inn will be given to the winner of the regional contest, made up of the winners of 10 site contests.
