UPDATE: JCP&L Completes Power Restoration in Parsippany
A reported 933 lost power Thursday afternoon.
Utility company Jersey City Power and Light reports via its website that more than 900 Parsippany customers who lost power Thursday afternoon have had their electricity restored.
Shortly before 3 p.m. Thursday, JCP&L's website showed 933 township customers without power. No reason was given for the situation, but the blistering temperature—and increased air conditioner usage—may have played a role.
Parsippany Police said power outages generally affected customers east of Interstate 287 and south of I-80. In addition to Parsippany people affected, 932 customers in nearby Hanover and 31 in East Hanover lost power as well, according to the utility.
In all these areas, the number reported without power stands at zero.
If your power should go out, call JCP&L's Outage Reporting Line, 1-888-LIGHTSS (1-888-544-4877).
Soaring temperatures are expected again Friday. If the need arises, air conditioning can be found at the following locations during their regular operating hours:

why isn't jcp&l on top of the technology game??? thy must have Edison's picture on the wall and never got past that era.I have accepted at least 3 registered letters about doubling the size of high tension wires in a flood zone. their engineers must have been absent for the water management, solar and wind courses in high school, college and advanced certification programs. Is the homeowner here being set up with power outages and the threat of environmental catastrophy mixing out of control water with out of control electricity??? I would welcome a media investigation to pursue of these concerns.

Mr. Raich, I understand your frustration however I am not sure I agree with your assessment. We just might have to agree to disagree. Also I am not an authority on grammar and punctuation but you might want to do a spell and grammar check before you post.
