When are they going to clean up the debris? There's a transformer lying on the ground on Calais Road, no to mention loose wires, pieces of broken utility poles, etc everywhere.

Why don't they just read the emails they received.

JCP&L gets paid regardless of the job they do in restoring power. Maybe if there were monetary penalties levied when a bad job was done (as in the Sandy response) and this money was returned to customers, their response would improve for following storms. Until that is done these meetings are pretty useless.

Clearly top management needs to be replaced. And their yearly salary and perks should
All be donated to Storm Relief charities.
And maybe donate their houses to the homeless. But what would they do if they
Gave up all that? McDonalds is hiring and construction is up. Or maybe they could consider making amends. The only additional comment I have for them is: Where the hell were you?

Who exactly is the head of JCP&L? And do they know the meaning of rapid response
Combat teams? Is anyone in the company's hierarchy a veteran of the US MILITARY?

From what I understand a big part of Hopatcong's problem was/is that the equipment is antiquated. They should be aware of this to begin with but if by some far fetched stretch of anybody's imagination they should have been made aware of it while making repairs after last years storm damage. Why wasn't our equipment updated throughout the years and why weren't updates being made after last year's storm? I would think it's very poor business sense to not maintain your equipment. Perhaps if they had been doing periodic updates all along they would have saved a great amount of money in equipment and over time paid to all those out of state employees. I'm not saying there wouldn't have been damage and outages but certainly in Hopatcong there wouldn't have been so much damage and we wouldn't have been out for so long.

We all understand this storm was historic and all the damage was a shock to everyone. Set that aside, no one is arguing that fact JCP&L. I am however, interested to find out where the critical "fail point" was with their customer service. People called everyday as we were told to do by the utility themselves, only to be told at one point that we were not "important and better learn to wait." What??? Then when they came to make the repairs, the line workers informed us that our whole block was not on the repair list. While working on a repair on Mt Kimble they were tracing problems and discovered our whole block. These poor workers (from Missouri) were very frustrated by the poor communication. These are the examples of why people are so upset and still angry.

A meeting? Wow! This is where JCP&L does it's best to look and act responsive to the concerns of their customers. Customers who have no say in who provides power to our homes and who have no power to change providers if they don't like JCP&L. So this amounts to little more than a chance to vent to a bunch of suits who will walk out of the meeting howling in laughter because they know they have what amounts to a monopoly and that their contracts are safe forever. Don't waste your time.
