Jewelry Stolen in Lake Shore Drive Burglary, Cops Say
Resident returned home Tuesday evening and found master bedroom ransacked, police said.
Jewelry was stolen from a Lake Shore Drive residence Tuesday night, Parsippany Police said.
Officer Ross Cooper responded to the Lake Hiawatha home after receiving a report of the incident at about 6:15 p.m., according to a statement released Wednesday by Officer Earl Kinsey.
A resident returned home and found the master bedroom ransacked and jewelry missing, the statement said.
Police believe entry to the house was gained via a basement window, according to Kinsey, a department spokesman who said it was not immediately known how much the jewelry was worth.
An inestigation by Parsippany detectives is underway with the assistance of the Criminal Investigative Division of the Morris County Sheriff’s Department, which processed the scene for evidence, Kinsey reported.
Anyone with information regarding the incident should contact the Parsippany Police Department at 973-263-4300.

Good coverage, as always, thanks. Very disturbing with the robberies in Parsippany, as of late. BUT is was Lake Hiawatha!

Where I come from we deal with robbers a bit different than most folks from this area. It gives a whole new meaning to due process and deterrent. My neighbor said they were robbed 3 times over the years, once while at home. Fortunate for the robbers they didn't pick my place as we don't show any mercy to thieves where I am from. The police would be the least of their worries as the only thing they are getting from our house is some cement shoes to wear in retirement.
