Lake Hiawatha Man Found with 30 Bags of Heroin, Cops Say

Police probe into drug distribution led to Tuesday arrest near Knoll Gardens Apartments.

A Parsippany Police probe lead to the arrest Tuesday night of an 18-year-old Lake Hiawatha resident allegedly found to be in possession of 30 bags of heroin.

Police say Tolga Gezer was taken into custody at about 8 p.m. Tuesday near Knoll Gardens Apartments after he was found with the heroin. The man faces a charge of heroin possession with the intent to distribute the substance.

The arrest comes as part of an ongoing investigation by the PPD's Investigative Division into the distribution of controlled substances within the township, according to a police statement.

Gezer is being held in the Morris County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail with no 10 percent option, said department spokesperson Ptlm. Earl Kinsey.

The heroin was placed into evidence along with Gezer’s cell phone, said the police statement.

Kudos to PPD for working so hard to keep drugs out of our town!! I'm sure it's not an easy job but articles like this should serve as a reminder of how hard they work to not only keep us safe but keep our town free of this trash.
Thank you.

More drug busts that's what we need. Great job PT police and investigators. Hopefully this will help keep the Parsippany youth from over dosing or becoming addicts.

I agree, great job PPD! But Tolga was not trying to get people addicted to the drug, there are plenty of kids and adults, who don't think they are addicted, that are fueling this demand for the heroin he was selling. So his arrest will not impact the number of users or reduce the risk of overdoses. His likely replacement will be another kid, who like Tolga, will make a bad life decision because of their addiction.

He should have been in jail or rehab from the last time he got in trouble luckily he didn't kill anyone with the heroin he was selling ...put him away for attempted murder!!! Enough with slaps on the wrist and Parsippany making money off of all these kids fines that the courts are charging. If the cops are going to go to all the trouble to arrest theses kids then put them in jail and keep then there for god sakes!

It's the courts that need to keep the scum of the earth in jail. He was bailed out about two months ago and this piece of dog s**t was out and probably looking for the next ride to Paterson the next day. The poor people that bailed him out are out $7500.00 and if they bail him out this time maybe they are in on his shenanagans also. The people of Parsippany have to worry about this dirtbags breaking into our houses, cars, and just walking in the streets of Lake Hiawatha. Soon you will see a lot of kids shaking, cold sweats, and jonesing for their next snort. Judge don't like Gezer out....he is NO GOOD FOR THE FINE PEOPLE ON THIS PLANET EARTH.

Wow, harsh people. Lets reflect a moment shall we? How about we leagalize the street drugs and take the profit out of the equation. You hypocrites who scream DIRTBAG drug dealer are probably sipping on your evening cocktail and popping a Xanax to help you calm down after a hard's day work at the office. Heroin isn't going away....addicts will become addicted,,,,how about we change the way we look at drug and alcohol abuse? It's a medical issue and we have to stop criminializing it. Just like prostitution. There will always be hookers and Johns. Decriminalize the drug and offer treatment. Oh my! So radical, so progressive......but hey, if we become that enlightened, we may have to focus on real issues...like this piss poor economy with no jobs (or minimum wage jobs no one can survive on) , no food for families, out of control housing costs, out of control utility costs, violence and rape, lack of funding for education.......hhhmmmm......

You have no further to look than in the mirror at yourself for the way the economy is right now, and its only going to get worse, so thank you for that. If you voted for this mental pgmy then you are to blame...no on else.

If you are going to legalize drugs then why not everything else also? These dirtbag pukes deserve everything they get from the crap. I lost a brother because of pukes like him and seen to many kids get messed up because of it also. Hang these little pigs.

Selene, don't you think heroin is a little different than smoking pot. More and more people scream legalize (let's make money off of it) but they don't realize what the larger costs are to society to have to subsidize what happens to the users mental and physical health, and to that of their families. And it looks as though this kid was more than a user; he was a dealer and could have sold this "smack" to one of your kids or one of mine. Is that what you want?

Selene - Go visit a rehab center and hear the pain of people trying to recover from heroin addiction. Several spend their whole lives struggling with addiction and destroy themselves and their families in the process. It's not something to scoff at.

Gezer was selling to kids...not to medical patients....

Obviously you don't understand that Tolga Gezer is nothing but a predator whose prey are the poor addicts that need treatment. Without the predator these people can be more productive members of society, get the jobs, eduction and help our economy grow. Yes treat the addicts that's good but lock up the predators that's good too. It's obvious you've never seen the damage they can cause Selene or you wouldn't be so high and mighty.

We should not be having this conversation. He should not have been back on the street to do this again! How many kids have to die of this poison in our town? The worst part is, is that he is one of many and the many are still out there! Parents beware if you have any suspicion at all that your child may be using I beg you to go to the PAL on April 22nd and learn about this sad situation in our town and others all across the country. Do not be ashamed sadly you are not alone.
