A 64-year-old Morris Plains man has been identified as the pedestrian who was struck and killed on Route 10 in Parsippany last month.

Oberst was transported to Morristown Medical Center by Parsippany Volunteer Ambulance and paramedics from St. Clare’s Hospital, where he later died from his injuries, Sgt. Yvonne Christiano said.

The Mountain Club Condominiums are actually located in Parsippany and not in Morris Plains.

Um, no. They are located in Morris Plains, they receive Parsippany services (god help them) therefore they pay their taxes to Parsippany. Got it?

Their mailing address is Morris Plains. Geographically, the buildings are within the township boundaries of Parsippany Troy Hills.

Fullash, Mt. Club is located within the borders of Parsippany. As such, they pay taxes to Parsippany, utilize Parsippany public schools, vote in Parsippany elections, and receive Parsippany public services. They ARE NOT located within Morris Plains, and therefore do not vote for Morris Plains issues and do have any tax obligation to Morris Plains, nor do they receive any tax benefits from Morris Plains. Instead, they simply have a Morris Plains mailing address due to the USPS trying to distribute its mail services efficiently across its different post offices.
