Planning Board Meets, St. Peter's Offers Bingo and More This Week

Events taking place in the township this week

 

The Parsippany-Troy Hills Planning Board deals with building issues related to the town's master plan at its monthly workshop meeting Monday at 7:30 pm at Town Hall, 1001 Parsippany Blvd.

Parsippany Lacrosse Club Clinic Registration is open to the public all day Monday through Saturday at Jannarone Park at Cranberry Road & Walsh Drive; the cost is $50.

PAL Football and Cheer Registration takes place all day Monday through Saturday at the Parsippany Police Athletic League at 33 Baldwin Road; there is no cost to register.

The Children's Garden Nursery and Preschool will hold open house visits every Tuesday through August. Interested parents are invited to visit the school at 903 S. Beverwyck Road and get a tour between the hours of 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

Neighbors-Helping-Neighbors, a free peer-led volunteer support group for people actively looking for work meets Tuesday at the Parsippany-Troy Hills Library, Lake Hiawatha Branch at 68 Nokomis Ave. in Hiawatha.

PSGMC peer support group for job seekers meets Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. at the Parsippany-Troy Hills Free Public Library at 449 Halsey Road to hear guest speakers well-versed in all facets of career search and development.

The NJ Cross Country Series, a weekly, low-key race using the cross country course located at the Greystone facility at 91 Central Ave, bordering Morris Plains and Parsippany, is designed for people who want to get some exercise or enjoy the outdoors. The race is held 6:45 p.m. every Wednesday through Labor Day. The cost per race is $10. 

Parsippany Farmers Market takes place this Friday (and every Friday during summer) in the parking lot at Town Hall from 1-7 p.m. Shoppers will find fresh produce and country food products from Stony Hill Farm as well as alpaca wear from Hickory Ridge Alpaca Farm.

Reform congregation Temple Beth Am holds a free Open House for its school Sunday at 10 a.m. for prospective students and parents. The synagogue and school are located at 879 S Beverwyck Rd.

Weekly bingo is offered at St. Peter the Apostle Church Sundays at 6 p.m. Proceeds go to support the church, which is located at 179 Baldwin Road.
