Cops: Erratic Driving Leads to Drug Arrest

The following arrest information was supplied by the Parsippany Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A motor vehicle stop for driving erratically led to drug charges for a Montville woman and a Parsippany man last week, said.

Police said Officer Jason Ferreira was patrolling Parsippany Road Thursday at about 1:30 a.m. when he saw a vehicle cross over the double yellow line.

After the officer stopped the driver at Parsippany and Carlstadt roads, he  detected the odor of suspected burnt marijuana emanating from the vehicle. A quick search led Ferreira to find a cigar containing the suspected illicit substance, police said.
