Cops: Drunk Driver Crashes Into Parked Cars

The following arrest information was supplied by the Parsippany Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

An alleged drunk driver smashed into two parked cars Sunday night on Norman Avenue, Parsippany Police Department said.

Officer Marc Fernandez responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident on Norman Avenue shortly after 10 p.m.

According to police, Nicole A. Knowlton, 19, of Denville, attempted to make a right turn and ended up striking two parked vehicles.

She was arrested and charged with DWI before being released to the custody of a family member.

In another incident about three hours later, Sgt. Thomas Pomroy saw a vehicle make an illegal U-turn on Route 46, police said. The driver then made an improper right turn onto Smith Road, police said.

Pomroy stopped Nileshkumar V. Maskare and placed him under arrest.

Maskare was arrested on a DWI charge and was issued a summons for the alleged improper turn. According to police, he was released to the custody of a friend.
