Cops: Bomb Scare Unfounded on Waterview Blvd.

Parsippany Road and Route 46 access to Wateview is now open.

say roads leading to Waterview Boulevard are again open to traffic following a bomb threat at a local commercial building.

The Morris County Sheriff's Office bomb squad and K-9 units were at the scene, as were PPD officers and the .

Department spokesperson Sgt. Yvonne Christiano told Patch that the threat was in place against , which leases space in the Mack-Cali Realty Corporation building at 35 Waterview Blvd. The nearby TD Bank initially was thought to be the focus of the incident.

Christiano reported that the threat came via telephone.

"An anonymous phone call was placed to an employee stating that there were bombs in the building," she said. "Building management authorized an evacuation of all employees."

Christiano did not know how many were forced to leave the building.

She said nothing dangerous was found and that there were no injuries in the incident.

Workers are back in the building after "an extra-long lunch break," the sergeant said.

An investigation into the incident is underway, police said.

Officials at Sun Chemical and the Mack-Cali building have not responded to requests for comment.
