$87K in Street Drugs Seized After Police Probe
Parsippany man is being held on $175K bail at the Morris County Jail for allegedly planning to sell controlled substances in a school zone.
Parsippany Police report a weeks-long investigation into a suspected drug distribution effort in a school zone resulted in a raid and arrest last Friday at the home of a local man. Police say approximately $87,000 in illegal substances including marijuana, cocaine and Ecstasy was recovered.
The PPD's Investigative Division launched a probe several weeks ago after gathering information about controlled substances being sold within the township, according to a police statement. On Friday, officers executed a search warrant on the residence of 30-year-old Justin Caron.
Department spokesperson Ptlm. Earl Kinsey said the man was arrested at the scene and was charged with possession with the intent to distribute cocaine, MDMA (a pure form of Ecstasy) and marijuana; and with intent to distribute controlled substances in a school zone.
The estimated street value of the drugs that were seized is about $87,000, according to the report.
Caron is being held at the Morris County Jail in lieu of $175,000 bail with no 10 percent option, Kinsey said.
Eight pounds of marijuana, 11 grams of cocaine, 11.5 ounces of MDMA or “Molly,” 15 syringes, a digital scale as well as packaging supplies commonly used in conjunction with distribution were placed into evidence.

Yes Ange, it is about time!!!!! This department has been dormant for four years and we got two good crime stories out. It must be election time for the mayor who is so hard trying to hold his job.
You can't make this stuff up kids.

"michael," I'm willing to bet that there were other drug busts etc that never made the news. Unfortunately it seems like only certain people are given credit for doing their job. Maybe they are the ones who are friendly with the guy releasing the info....just sayin

Don't worry 30-year-old drug suspect Jason Caron, you're in luck.
The Mayor is madly scrambling for press releases AND VOTES that he can help you out just as he did for another drug dealer most recently.
Barberio can write a letter on township letterhead-- like he did last time -- with the last paragraph reading: "I hope the court will be as lenient as possible when sentencing Jason Carron ..." Oh don't worry Jason, no bother to fill in your name where the name of the previous drug dealer was. The Mayor or a secretary probably has this drug court letter template saved on the township computer.
So Mayor, the township wants to know -- are you going to pull some strings for this drug dealer as you tried last time?

Oh my goodness people. Can't you ever just post a "good job, Parsippany police...for tracking down a drug dealer and arresting him." I can relate to having issues that concern you and posting under the proper article for that. I have posted myself.
How about commending the Parsippany police officers that who put themselves in danger, not knowing what they are walking in to and taking a low life drug dealer out of our town. Just give credit where credit is due. If you are claiming that there is a drug problem and then post angry comments under an article that states they made an arrest...which is it??!!
Posting something positive every once in a while might be cleansing for the soul.

I do know where it was, because I saw it all happening Friday afternoon. But I'm not sure I can say where.. And i can tell you, that this guy just moved in about 6 months ago. We were ALL sick of the traffic and loud "guests" that would be in the parking lots at 1AM. How dare this guy bring this CRAP into our town and into our complex. its not unheard of, to have strung out people try to get into the wrong place looking for drugs. I'm so glad that Parsippany Police and all who were present in this operation hauled that trash away.

These police are doing there jobs. The thing that irratates me is that all you people bad mouth somebody that you have no idea what type of person they are. You are all a bunch of liberals. Mabye he had to pick that up to pay his bills being that there isnt any jobs that pay enough to cover expenses of life. These cops are just as bad as the the suspect. They just do it in a different way . Cheating on there wifes, lying on reports to make there case look stronger. So yeh this guy got caught but keep the liberal comments to yourself. Cause we all know none of you idiots who do nothing but talk bad about other peoples buisness wouldnt say it to his face and you have nothing important or interesting going on in your own lives so you talk about other peoples issues.

You know what, Bob? There is not one single plausable explanation for selling drugs. I'm sorry, but there isn't. If a person can't live within their means, then thats their problem. Would you want drug traffic next door to you? No? I didn't think so. Those of us that lived near/next door to this person were subjected to noise and traffic in the middle of the night..So you are essentially saying, selling drugs near a school is ok? How about selling them to your kids? Even better, how about selling them in your neighborhood? You want the risk of some person being high as a kite mistaking your house for the dealers? Didn't think so. And who is talking about this guys "issues"? As far as I see posted, no one, but you.

I actually know him well but we lost touch when he got too deep into this mess. I did tell him numerous times to his face, in the past, that he was an idiot for doing this and "you better be careful you don't get caught". he did not need the money. He's your average middle class joe who just wanted to make extra $ ..probably to spend on drugs. He's a very very nice guy who would do anything for his friends and family. If you didn't know him, you would never know this side of him. He's a good guy. It's a shame that he chose this life, but you live with the consequences of your own decisions. However, you are entitled to your opinion on it being okay to sell an absurd amount of drugs. I'm assuming you are in the same job market?

We all know quite well that Parsippany has it's glorious moments of corruption. However, this seems to me like a job well done by the town. I love to read "political" banter between people who don't have the skills, credentials, or courage to actually actively participate in politics. Try hitting up a town meeting instead of blasting people on internet forums. You might learn something. But that would mean speaking out for what you believe in in FRONT of people, which most of you couldn't possibly do. Keep on keeping on, phantoms of the internet. One thing you'll never hear - "I was reading a post by someone on the Patch today and it really changed my opinion on the political situation in Parsippany." Something you are far more likely to hear - "God, those idiots that always post on the Patch are at it again. What a bunch of egotistical tools."
