Robber Pepper Sprays Victims, Say Police
Two men allegedly fled the scene on Saturday evening.
Parsippany Police are on the lookout for two men in connection with a Saturday evening robbery reported at Ibero Express LLC at 1180 Route 46.
When officers responded to the scene at about 6:30 p.m., an employee told them that a Hispanic man entered the business, told workers not to move, and sprayed him and a female co-worker in the eyes with pepper spray, according to PPD spokesperson Yvonne Christiano.
A police statement alleges that two men fled the scene on foot and got away with no proceeds.
One man, reportedly wearing a black sweatshirt, jeans and black sneakers, fled toward Route 46, Christiano said. Police offered no description of the second man, who reportedly fled north in the direction of Hawkins Avenue.
Members of the Rockaway Neck Ambulance Squad treated the pepper-sprayed employees, according to the police statement. The Morris County Criminal Investigative Section was present to process the scene.
An investigation is underway. Anyone with information is encouraged to call Parsippany Police at 973-263-4300.

Yet ANOTHER robbery in Parsippany. This place is becoming less and less safe every day! Not only are they robbing gas stations and banks... Now people are robbing offices, too?
Every week its something else.. a murder, bank robbery, gas station attendants getting tied up and robbed.
What are the police in Parsippany doing? The never seem to catch anyone.

This story is an example of why law-abiding New Jersey citizens need handguns and carry permits - and proper firearms training. A few slugs in these punks and they'll never pepper spray anyone else.

There's no police on patrol because they keep promoting them to sargents and captains. Let's keep them on the road even if they get promoted. Promotions don't mean you sit inside and do nothing.
