Mount Tabor resident Jennifer Roth was selected from hundreds of contestants as one of three finalists in a gingerbread house competition aired on NBC’s TODAY Show earlier this week. Roth, who worked with her eight-year-old daughter Sophia, and her mother, impressed judges with her recreation of Paris' Notre Dame Cathedral.

Roth estimated the total time of the project at a staggering 80 hours, and explained that a recent trip to Paris inspired the holiday baking project.

Laura Morrissette, of Massachusetts, took home the trophy (judged by chef and baker Hans Rockenwagner) with her “eco-friendly” gingerbread house.
