Caldwell College students were treated to a little stress relief during final exams when pet therapy dogs visited campus on Wed. Dec.12.   The Director of the college’s Counseling Center, Robin Davenport, director of the college's Counseling Center, said having pet therapy dogs on campus during finals week has become a popular attraction for Caldwell College students.

"Studies show that petting a dog is very calming and can lower blood pressure, relax the muscles and lower the heart rate," she said. "The effect that the dogs have on students is visible as you witness their tense expressions turn to wide smiles.”

This is the third year in a row that the college brought the dogs to campus during finals week. The dogs were from Therapy Dogs International in Flanders and Bright and Beautiful Therapy Dogs in Morris Plains.
