In the End, Team Parsippany Keeps Council Seats
After a day with low voting turnout and bipartisan speculation of a close contest, Team Parsippany stands triumphant following the 2011 General Election.
Council member Vincent Ferrara, who ran unopposed for Freeholder Ann Grossi's unexpired term seat, crowed that he "was elected by the people."

The Parsippany-Troy Hills Township Council will continue to have one-party rule.
As Council Vice President Brian Stanton enthused just after the last district's count was read, "It's nice to be a Republican in Parsippany."
The Democratic Vote for Parsippany ticket of Annelise Catanzaro, Janice McCarthy and Tom Wyka earned a very respectable showing in the polling. In the end, however, despite the low voter turnout, the incumbents of Team Parsippany scored easy victories to maintain their seats on the council.
Parsippany Republicans gathered at the old Lake Parsippany firehouse on Halsey Road to wait and watch as the returns came in. While the Democrats took the Mount Tabor district handily, the remaining 38 districts came in solidly GOP.
Shortly after 9 p.m. Tuesday, Michael dePierro, Paul Carifi Jr., Brian Stanton and Vincent Ferrara offered thanks to their families and to Parsippany Republicans
The final unofficial vote totals are as follows for the Township Council 2011 General Election race. Numbers come from the Morris County Clerk's Office.

Parsippany really voted this guy into council after he was appointed him into office. What a joke, you elect people to ride on coat tails, nothing will happen other than these 3 republican candidates voting right beside Barberio. How will you ever be able to hear more than what the Elephant wants you to. Grow up Parsippany stop voting down party lines, and maybe you'll get a more objective opinion. Until then your just like the rest of this Country blind to the power you have on the tip of your finger. Speak up for God sake.

they were thinking "what pretty signs." Late monday night I was driving and saw that the ferrara stanton carrifi signs were obnoxiously planted everywhere. If there was a Wyka sign, it was obscured from view by a bunch of ferrara's signs. Literally surrounded so you could not see it. Our town council officially sucks...again

Nothing will change in Parsippany - it will stay the horrendous mess that it is - the big boys club will collect their benefits and more....so sad for those that must endure the consequences.

We need an ordinance in this town that only 2 signs are allowed on a property. The town looks terrible with all these signs littering everywhere. Do they think people are ignorant and can't read. I saw one small strip of land with about 25 signs on it from the same group. They need to be voted in by what they do for the town, not how many signs they can put up.

Can someone tell me what is so wrong with Parsippany? Our taxes are better when compared to other towns, so are our roads and we have parks, libraries and lakes. Our garbage is collected at no extra cost and our water quality is good. I see our police out on the roads and they respond quickly when needed. We have recreation for our children and a center and services for our seniors. We have parades and concerts and events to celebrate and honor our community and our citizens. We have dedicated volunteers in our fire, ambulance, schools and organizations all over town that provide valuable and life saving service to us all. We have business large and small that employ our friends and neighbors and that step up to help out when needed. We feel safe in our homes and our children graduate and go off to college. We have the opportunity to be happy in our every day lives here in Parsippany because we know all of the things I've mentioned are available so we don't even need to give them a second thought if we choose. I'm happy here in Parsippany but if someone knows of a place in NJ where it gets better then all I've listed, that the middle class can afford, I'd appreciate if you would share it. And if you can share your thoughts without using the vocabulary of a 10 year old girl, that would be appreciated too.
