Each Monday, Patch takes a peek at some of the more surprising, shocking, stunning and occasionally silly police-related incidents reported throughout New Jersey for "OMGs from NJ PDs." Here are a couple of the reports:

Burned: A call to Kinnelon police by a homeowner complaining of a strange, possibly burning, odor resulted in the same woman’s arrest after authorities found a glass pipe packed with marijuana in her nightstand, police said. Firefighters even used an infrared camera to locate the possible fire — which led them to the alleged pot.

Young at Heart: Never let it be said that irresponsibility is only the domain of the young. The Boomers can take on grossly foolish tasks, too. Such was the case, West Deptford police said, with a 60-year-old driver who was allegedly trying to race another car when his 2002 Pontiac Firebird went off the road, plowed through a landscaped berm and smacked into the side of a building. The driver was treated at a local hospital, but stable, and faced a number of citations when he got out.

Oh, Baby: It seems either three young women have expensive taste in booze, or their infants do; police were banking on the former. Police arrested three women in Cinnaminson and charged them with shoplifting after reportedly finding high-end vodka hidden in portable baby seats. All three were too young to have liquor (whether purchased or stolen), so they faced charges for that, as well.

What Was He Aiming For? A Hackensack man is facing charges after, police say, he urinated all over the walls and floor of the bathroom at municipal court in Ridgewood. The man now faces a criminal mischief charge in addition to the ones that got him to court in the first place. So he'll be back to the courthouse—hopefully with an empty bladder.
