Whole Foods Coming to Parsippany

The health-minded supermarket chain isn't saying much now, but a company spokeswoman confirms the move.

The rumor started filtering through email channels Friday afternoon: Whole Foods Market is coming to Parsippany. Turns out it was no rumor—a company spokeswoman says the news is true.

Spokeswoman Jessica Alter said the company isn't releasing details such as where the Par-Troy Whole Foods will be located or when it's coming, but she did confirm to Patch that a lease has been signed for a Parsippany site.

Whole Foods is known for serving the nation as a retail provider of natural and organic foods.

Until the store opens in Parsippany, Whole Foods Markets enthusiasts can visit the only other Morris Whole Foods Market site in Madison at 222 Main St.

Wegmans announced earlier this month it plans to move into Hanover.

I guess we all would prefer you were a republican, but I guess we can't all have everything we want. Can we?

Considering that a large percentage of Whole Foods over priced "organic" food is grown in China I would avoid that store like the plague.

I guess they won't have a chance in hell because you won't be shopping there.

Dave,

Is this documented someplace? Also I think they are moving into the space that Walgreens is currently in on RT46. On a side note they need to get rid of that quick stop. That place is disgusting.

ABC News did a segment on it several years back. Whole Foods rebuttal was that the percentage of food they import from China was much smaller than ABC made it sound in their report. Either way, all of the food in the store is labeled with a country of origin.

I would like to see a Fairway market open locally, the closest one is in Woodland
