Parsippany schools will have a two-hour delay Wednesday as 4 to 8 inches of snow are expected by Thursday morning. The National Weather Service has now issued a winter storm warning for the area through Thursday morning. The storm is expected to produce winds between 10 and 15 miles per hour, with gusts up to 20 miles per hour, according to the NWS.   Check back with Patch for updates throughout the storm.

Drivers should use extra caution over the next few days, especially at night, when black ice should make roads slick and potentially dangerous, the Parsippany-Troy Hills Police Department warned Tuesday. The Parsippany school district website announced that schools will be closed  Thursday due to the snow storm. On Wednesday night, it announced  there will be a two-hour delayed opening Thursday due to the snowstorm, but by Thursday morning, there was a message that schools were closed.
