More About Empty Bowl Zendo
Empty Bowl Zendo facilitates community support in the practice of zen meditation. The group's emphasis is on zazen, or "sitting meditation, a practice that focuses on the present moment in an attempt to live without judgments and preconceptions."
Empty Bowl Zendo meets regularly on Tuesday evenings on the second floor of the Church of the Redeemer. Special sitting events are held throughout the month, including the more rigorous Day of Silence, held from 7:25am to 1pm the second Saturday of every month.

Does anyone go to this that can recommend it? I'm curious about it and would like to learn more. I meditate a lot at home, but have never done it in a group setting like this and am a little nervous! Thanks!

Also curious. Feel the same as above but would be more than open to try it.

I would also like to learn a bit more, but stil would like to give it a try. I have not done zen before, but studied it in college and found it to be quite fascinating. I have always wanted to visit a Zen Buddhist place of worship, but never did.

I know the practice...I know the Sensei and know that this will be a positive experience for all who are looking to quiet the mind.
