Half Day for Elementaries, See Nick DiPaolo at Comedy Shop

On Friday, there will be a half day for Parsippany elementaries because of parent/teacher conferences. Also, Northvail’s clothing drive runs from Friday to Tuesday, Nov. 26.

This week is the 15th Annual Brooklawn Intense Games (B.I.G.). After practicing on Tuesday and Wednsday, the competition will be at 7 p.m. on Thursday and Friday.

General admission is $3 and tickets on sale at all lunch periods Tuesday – Friday and at 6:30 p.m. both nights at the CMS new gym. All proceeds raised from B.I.G. Night ticket sales will benefit the 2013-2014 NJASC State Charity, “The HERO Campaign.”

Central MS has its school dances on Friday.

• Grade 6 is from 2:45-4 p.m.
• Grade 7 and 8 is from 7-9 p.m.

Nick DiPaolo will be appearing at The Comedy Shoppe located at Pure Restaurant and Lounge on Friday at 8:30 p.m.

Di Paolo's career took off after he appeared on HBO's Young Comedian Special and since then, he has written and performed four standup specials and four CDs, according to a release.

His most recent standup was a 1-hour Showtime special called Raw Nerve.
He was part of a 2-year run of Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn and the Comedy Central roasts. Other television and film credits include Louie, Lucky Louie, Artie Lange's Beer League, a guest starring role on The Sopranos and The Chris Rock Show, where he was a writer for two seasons as well, according to the release. Writing credits also include the 77th Annual Academy Awards and the MTV Music Video Awards.

He was also a guest on radio shows including The Howard Stern Show, The Opie and Anthony Show and The Dennis Miller Show and more. He also hosted The Nick Di Paolo Show in New York City in 2007 and The Nick and Artie Show from 2011-2012.
