Boxathon Benefits Parsippany Child With Rare Cancer
Back-to-School Night for Par-Troy Hills middle, high schools will be on Thursday as well.
A young Parsippany resident battled a rare cancer at the age of 20 months. Peyton Zitelli was diagnosed with alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare form of cancer that forms in muscle tissue and around town there have been fundraising events.
In February, Peyton's friend and neighbor Matthew Santana, 8, led a fundraising and awareness event and the Police Benevolent Association 131 of Parsippany is hosting a charity boxing event on Oct. 19 called Battle of the Badges.
On Thursday, join Title Boxing Club of Parsippany for a Boxathon to benefit the ‘Prayers and Pledges for Peyton Foundation.' Here's a run down of the day's activities:
- 6 a.m. to 6:45 p.m. - classes run all day
- 7:15 – 8 p.m. - cocktail hour
- 8:15 – 9 p.m. - Tricky Tray drawing
- 9 – 9:30 p.m. - The awards ceremony for the Boxathon
Reserve your bag with a minimum donation of $10 per power hour class. The Parsippany Police Department is a proud partner of the event. For more information, call 973-396-8822 or alinkov@titleboxingclub.com. Title Boxing Club is located at 796 US 46 in Parsippany.
