On Friday night, Parsippany's Temple Beth Am is welcoming
in Parsippany for two reasons. Not only is it the yearly Shabat Hallelu "The Sabbath of Praise", an evening filled with music and fellowship with special musical guests but the temple also welcomes it's new interim rabbi, Howard E. Kosovske to his first service.

This year's Shabat Halilou service will feature world renowned singer/songwriter Eric Komar for a night of his fun for all ages music that celebrates life and being Jewish. Eric's music has been described as "refreshing," "superb and hip sounding," "hav[ing] a sophisticated pop sensibility," and "compelling and truly Jewish". Joining him will be the Temple Youth Choir and the rocking temple band. Also, completing the evening's musical roster is vocal powerhouse, Cantor Inna Serebro-Litvak and the temple's musical director Iouri Grechechkin, a respected vocalist/pianist and songwriter himself.

It is also appropriate that, coinciding with this night of rejoicing and celebration, the temple welcomes Rabbi Howard A. Kosovske to the bima. Rabbi Kosvoske will be the interim rabbi at Temple Beth Am while the process begins to find a new and permanent spiritual leader for the temple. Rabbi Kosovske brings over 35 years of rabbinical experience with him, as well as, years of traveling around the world. This is an exciting time for Temple Beth Am's present congregants and a fantastic opportunity for new members to join at a time when so many wonderful changes are shaping up for this local synagogue.

The service is this Friday October 4th and starts at 7:30PM. Temple Beth Am is located at 879 S. Beverwyck Rd in Parsippany. This is a free event great for all ages. Any questions, please call the temple office at (973) 887-0046.
