CBCF and Bloomingdale's Team Up for Weekend of Shopping at Mall at Short Hills to Raise Money for Breast Cancer Research

Highlighting Event Will Be Fashion Show and Panel Discussion on Saturday, June 7th

 SHORT HILLS, NJ – The Cure Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc. (CBCF) is teaming up with Bloomingdale’s in the Mall at Short Hills in Short Hills, NJ for a weekend of shopping that will benefit breast cancer research efforts.

The three-day event will be centered around a special panel discussion and presentation of contemporary designers from the nationally recognized retailer on Saturday, June 7th at 11 a.m.  In addition to a fashion show highlighting the latest designs and trends, Dr. Serena Chen of St. Barnabas and Dr. Shari Goldfab of Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center will discuss breast cancer research efforts and successes with two survivors of the disease.

Bloomingdale’s will donate 10% of all sales from Friday, June 6th to Sunday, June 8th when participants mention the event at check out.  To register for the event, please visit http://www.curebreastcancerfoundation.org.  A $25 donation to CBCF is suggested.

CBCF is a non-profit 501(c) 3 organization which supports breast cancer research under the direction of Dr. Larry Norton, the Deputy Physician-in-Chief for Breast Cancer Programs and the Medical Director of the Evelyn H. Lauder Breast Center at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.

Since its inception in 2007, CBCF has emerged as a leader in breast cancer awareness by raising funds for the research initiative of Dr. Norton and the theory of Self-Seeding.  The Clifton, N.J.-based organization hosts a number of fundraising events and informative seminars throughout the New York metropolitan area and is aggressively expanding its outreach throughout the United States and beyond.
