Morris Habitat ReStore Part of Mansions in May!

This year, at the annual Mansion in May, visitors will see a bit of what the Morris Habitat for Humanity ReStore has to offer.  The Mansion in May will be transforming Blairsden in Peapack-Gladstone, New Jersey from May 1st through the 31st, 2014 to raise money for two projects at the Morristown Medical Center.  The event attracts more than 25,000 people yearly and Morris Habitat is proud to play a part.  The Gacek Design Group, located in New Hope, Pennsylvania, has chosen to use several gently-used items from the Morris Habitat ReStore to decorate a long main hallway which they have named “A Woodland Dream”.

Richard Gacek, owner and principal designer of Gacek Design Group stated, “Gacek Design Group has collaborated with the ReStore on many occasions!  We like to include vintage elements from the ReStore in our designs.  We selected the Morris Habitat ReStore for our Mansion in May long hall space to illustrate how an antique piece with classic lines can be transformed and can make a compelling statement in today’s interior design.”

Work has already begun in preparation for the grand opening and month-long touring of the work of over 50 different designers and landscape architects.  Morris Habitat hopes that the collaboration with the Gacek Design Group will encourage local residents to donate their good used furniture, appliances and more to support building decent, safe and affordable housing.  The need has never been greater.
