Parsippany Goes Green for National Donate Life Month this April

Kicking-off National Donate Life Month on Monday, Adventure Scouts, New Jersey Sharing Network, Team Liberty and the Morris County Multi-Organ Transplant Group tied Lake Hiawatha Green.  Joining them was Mayor James Barberio.

This is the start of a month of organ and tissue donation awareness activities.  The Morris County Group held a “Make A Difference Monday” fundraiser at Gourmet Café, with proceeds benefitting the New Jersey Sharing Network Foundation.

The group also has a display on the lower level at the main branch of the Parsippany Library.  It is complete with information and hand-outs.

Friday, April 11th is “Blue and Green Day” and members of the Morris County Multi-Organ Transplant Group are asking everyone to wear those colors next week to highlight the life-saving gift of organs and tissue.  One single donor can save dozens of lives and restore others.

The NJ Sharing Network Foundation is committed to increasing the number of lives saved through education, research, donor family support and public awareness about the life-saving benefits of organ and tissue donation and transplantation. By making a contribution to the NJ Sharing Network Foundation, you empower our efforts, bringing us a step closer to providing the greatest gift of all: life.
