Was there a doubt that Parsippany would survive the weekend snowfall? Surely enough, Monday is here, bringing with it another work week. Here are five things to take note of happening this week.

Municipal meetings are back in full swing: This week, the Municipal Alliance Committee, which works to keep kids off of alcohol and drugs, meets Monday at 7 p.m. at the  building. Also at 7 p.m. Monday, the Planning Board meets at  for a minor site plan and subdivision meeting; that is followed by a regular session at 7:30 p.m.  And on Thursday at 7 p.m., the n meets at .

If you need to find a job, learn how to make the Internet work for you. At 10 a.m. Monday, the  presents a seminar with career coach and LinkedIn expert Donna Sweidan called . The event will show job seekers how to tweet, link, and friend their way to fame and fortune or just a better job. The seminar is free, but only 50 spots are available. The event takes place at , 300 Littleton Road, 3rd floor.

Eating beef steak to support girls basketball? That's the game plan at . On Tuesday at 7 p.m., the Hills presents its 10th annual Beefsteak Dinner to support Viking Basketball. The all-you-can-eat event takes place in the school cafeteria, and the menu includes filet mignon, French fries, salad, dessert, soda and coffee. Tickets are $30 per person. Email ticket requests to hillsladyviking@aol.com and make checks payable to PHHS Girls Basketball Fund.

More hoops fundraising news: The was snowed out last weekend, but has a new date: Saturday at 1 p.m. at , 309 Baldwin Road. The event features a matchup between the world-famous Harlem Wizards and the Lake Hiawatha Hawks. Tickets are $10 for students in advance and $13 at the door, $12 for general admission in advance and $15 at the door. Proceeds benefit the PTA and its programs.

The blood pressure program continues for area senior citizens. The township's Office of Health offers  all this week, Monday through Friday, at the  at 1130 Knoll Road. The service is offered from 9 a.m.-5 p.m., but you must call ahead to make an appointment: 973-263-7160.
