9/11 Events in Parsippany and Beyond

The weekend's activity suggestion list includes events fun and serious.

On the minds of many this weekend will be the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. Appropriately, our weekend to-do list includes many events to commemorate what's become known as Patriot Day. Two of those events take place in Parsippany: The township will mark the anniversary with a special ceremony at Town Hall, 1001 Parsippany Blvd., at 12:45 p.m.  Following that, Friends of the Library will hold its 10th anniversary tribute to 9/11 at 2:30 p.m. The event features Mayor James Barberio plus artistic recreations of the Twin Towers made by township residents. The tribute takes place at the main branch, 449 Halsey Rd.

If you would prefer to spend your weekend entertaining the kids, getting a workout or just having fun, well, there is something in the list that should be just the ticket. Go on, get out!
