A Visit to the Empire Diner, BOE Meeting, Candidates' Night

On Wednesday, nine school board candidates introduce themselves. We'll have that story, and many others.

What can you expect to read about on Patch this week?  Here are the highlights:

Later today, we'll start a video new feature called "You Said It,'' where we post a new clip every day on the same topic. This week, we'll visit the on Route 46, where we asked people what makes a good diner and why they like the Empire.

 Now that Parsippany's —despite earlier threats from the governor—the public will get to weigh in at a  Tuesday BOE meeting held at the school board building at 7 p.m. With the deadline, and at least some of the politics, out of the way, people can focus on the actual budget. We'll have a post up after the meeting.

Nine BOE candidates will present themselves, and their platforms, to the public at Candidates Night on Wednesday, sponsored by the Par-Troy Council of PTAs. It will be held at Central Middle School from 7 to 9 p.m. We'll have something on it that night.

This week, will also give you a preview of Parsippany Hills High School's spring musical "The Wiz,'' which opens on Thursday.
