Local talent and an annual festival here to please your ear this weekend.

If you like live music, we've got some options that range across the spectrum in our weekend planner.

1. GARDEN STATE FOLK FESTIVAL
Where/When: ; Sunday, 3 p.m.
Why Go: The second annual festival promises to be a lot of fun, featuring comedic singer-songwriter Carla Ulbrich and a number of other talented artists.

2. BIG BAD IRISH
Where/When: (Madison); Friday, 10 p.m.-1 a.m.
Why Go: Band member Sean Murphy is a Madison resident, and what's better than seeing your own local talent? The group is a rock/blues cover band.
Pricing: Free

3. COMEDY NIGHT TO BENEFIT NICU
Where/When: Hanover Manor (East Hanover); Friday, 7-11 p.m.
Why Go: Comedians Jane Condon and Jeff Caldwell are invited and proceeds will support Sam's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Goryeb Children's Hospital at Morristown Memorial.

4. ANTIQUE SHOW AND SALE
Where/When: ; Friday, 11 a.m.-8 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
Why Go: It's in its 55th year, and visitors can bring their antiques for appraisal on Saturday between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.

$6 donation

5. BLACK MARIA FILM FESTIVAL
Where/When: ; 8 p.m.
Why Go: In it's will 30th year, the event will feature short films and videos selected from more than 700 entrees into this year's festival.
