Community Corner

Five-Star Playground Just to the North

Huge slides and a farm for toddlers make this playground marvelous.

One of the biggest and best playgrounds in Morris County is just a short ride north from most points in Parsippany.

This Memorial Day weekend, take a ride with your little ones to explore  the Montville Community Park and Playground.

This park features an incredibly diverse, clean and well-designed playground with four distinct play areas and something for everyone.

You could describe this place as being like an amusement park. It has a farm theme that ties together the play areas together and offers unbelievable variety in the equipment.

Watch or join in the fun as children ascend stairs inside a large silo-like structure and then sail down really tall, twisty tube slides reminiscent of those you would see in a water park.

The Montville park has an imaginative play area for smaller kids that revolves around the idea of farm life. You can have your own dairy, serve ice cream or just pitch hay.

The swings are far enough away from the toddler area to keep tiny tots safe and there's plenty of action for everyone.  At the top of the hill you’ll also find two swings that can hold wheelchairs.

To make a day of it, bring a picnic to enjoy in the central gazebo or in a nearby wooded grove that offers tables.  Or dine at the nearby .  Bring your four-legged friends to enjoy the dog park further down on Changebridge Road.
