Girl Scouts Work to Beautify Parsippany

Councilman seeks other troops interested in joining a town cleanup campaign.

It's time for spring cleaning, not only for homes, but for the township.

Girl Scout groups in Parsippany took part in an ongoing cleanup effort organized by Town Council Vice President Vincent Ferrara.

The councilman and Mayor James Barberio teamed up recently with Girl Scout Cadet Troop #335 of Central Middle School, led by Arlene Sklow, and Brownie Troop # 5616 of Rockaway Meadow Elementary School, led by Bonnie Virk, to don neon green township worker vests and exert elbow grease to clean up a area of Lake Hiawatha.
