School starts next week, so parents, this is your chance to give the kids a last-minute bit of summer vacation: The  starts Monday and runs through the end of the week for players age 6-12. The camp takes place at the Par-Troy West Little League Complex on Elmwood Drive in Lake Parsippany.  Camp will run from 9 a.m.-1:30 p.m. through Thursday (Friday is a rain day).  The cost for the four days is $125. , a free peer-led volunteer support group for people actively looking for work meets Tuesday at 7:15 p.m. at the  at 68 Nokomis Ave. in Hiawatha.

The fleet of foot show their stuff at Wednesday's . The event offers a low-key race using the cross-country course located at the Greystone facility bordering Morris Plains and Parsippany. Organizers say this is an opportunity for high school runners to practice, for everyday runners to stay motivated, for dieters to lose weight, for the sedentary to get active or for anyone to enjoy the outdoors. Cost is $10 per race. The run begins at 6:45 p.m. and will be held every Wednesday through Labor Day.
