  • Whiz Kid's Accomplishment- Completed Girl Scout Gold Award project
  • Whiz Kid's Key to Awesomeness: Lindsey Marxen, a senior, is a recipient of the prestigious Girl Scout Gold award, the highest achievement within the Girl Scouts of the USA.   She received the Gold Award for the creation and implementation of an interpretative trail guide for the Cora Hartshorn Arboretum in Short Hills.   Lindsey, under the guidance of Jim Peck, Executive Director of the Arboretum, spent more than 120 hours planning and developing the project. The trail guide, available to all visitors in the lobby of the arboretum, takes visitors on an informative 30 to 40 minute path featuring the arboretum’s numerous fauna and flora and several of its highlights, including the Devil’s Punch Bowl and Fawn Dell Amphitheater.  According to Jim Peck, Executive Director of the Arboretum, her work and dedication has created a valuable tool that enhances the experience of the arboretum's visitors.
