Parsippany Elks Give Kids Holiday Fun

Santa and Sprinkles the Clown bring the Christmas joy to the lodge's yearly holiday party.

As Andy Williams sang, the winter holiday season is the most wonderful time of the year, and that was the spirit that reigned at the Parsippany Elks Lodge 2078 celebrated its annual Family Christmas Party Saturday afternoon at the group's building on Parsippany Road.

About 50 people—mostly lodge members and their children—were on hand to enjoy a visit from Santa Claus (who arrived on the back of a fire engine and gave presents to the assembled kids), refreshments and holiday games with Sprinkles the Clown.

The event is organized by the B.P.O.E. 2078 Ladies' Auxiliary to raise funds for the lodge's community outreach efforts to help veterans and special-needs children, said auxiliary member Candi Breslauer.
